Units, Rubrics, & Reflections

I developed these Units of Inquiry to introduce Lower Primary Art students to all the major components of Art-making. They run simultaneously, all year long, as students aged 4-8 are continually developing their expressive skills. The six units are Drawing, Color, 3D Art, Painting, Shape, and Skills. I've included the Drawing, Color, and Shape units here as examples.

I've also included a Grade 3 stand-alone Unit "The Creative Process" that introduces students to independent creative thinking, as well as many other components to 21st Century Skills.

These Secondary Lesson Plans were developed with a four person Art department to reflect the current Units. Examples of the resulting work can be viewed here.
