When I display student Art work at school, I treat the work with the same respect that I would give my own work. Artwork is matted neatly and labelled. I include a brief written description of the Unit and what students learning whilst making the artwork, including photos of the students working and Art history images. Occasionally, I include a sample of Pre-Assessments and Reflections to complete the picture.
Once a grade-level completes an art project, I create movie presentations of their artwork using Keynote., including a written description of what students learned and their process in making the artwork. I then upload them to the website ScreenCloud, which plays visual media around the school on TV display screens. The artwork is also displayed on bulletin boards or in the foyer.
Student artwork is annually collected for display in the Elementary building. I curate the artwork and coordinate the matting, framing, labeling and displaying of the work. Older artwork is removed and I coordinate returning the artwork to the student.
