The recent global pandemic presented many challenges to teachers and students alike. These are some of the activities that I used to engage my students and continue their art education during that difficult time.
2020:
Early Years Choice Boards
Students and families could choose one activity to do from each board; each board was designed around a concept or art material. The Choice Boards were sent to families in English and Mandarin, allowing for clear communication and understanding.

Presentation to parents in the Autumn of 2021 on how to prepare for potential future online learning.
2022: Live Art classes hosted on Microsoft Teams.
I use such resources as document cameras to demonstrate drawing techniques and other art skills. I'm able to share my screen so that the students and I are able to look at Google slide presentations about Art history and discuss the artwork.
All the live lessons are recorded and the link to the recording is posted online, enabling students to be able to watch demonstrations or discussions again, as well as allowing for catch-up if a student missed the class.

This is a recorded presentation in my home Art studio of an introduction to sculpture, discussing its 3-D nature and different materials used. This recording acted as an introduction to a new unit on sculpture, in which students created sculptures using recyclable materials they collected at home.

K-Grade 5 Home Art Supply Survey
When online learning first began, I sent to all of my students a survey as to which art materials they already had at home. It enabled me to design lessons that all the students would be able to complete, without having to buy resources.

Record Keeping: Student completion of online assignments was tracked for assessment purposes.
