Sketch Books

Students are given an A3 sketch book at the start of the school year. They use them for their "free drawings" and to plan or brainstorm ideas for artworks. As a teacher, they are a useful resource to observe the progression of drawing and compositional skills, as well as use of color, in an arena in which students are able to do whatever they like. They also help to inform me of current student interests and ways of thinking.
